H&K MK23 Socom

私たちのブログを訪問していただきありがとうございます。あなたがお持ちの場合DIYの要求は私達に電子メールを送信してください。

Following is a photo post of the Tokyo Marui H&K MK23 Socom.

The packaging is really good, it comes with a board cover printed with images of the gun.

After removing the board, you instantly see the big "Socom MK23" embossed in the plastic hard case.

Inside the case, everything is molded perfectly into the gun and accessories.

It comes with a 28 round magazine with a very distinct HK45 logo.

The suppressor that comes with it is laser engraved with authentic markings. The suppressor also works surprisingly, it reduces the noise significantly.

The plastic slide also comes with authentic HK markings.

The LAM unit also has authentic HK markings. The laser and light also works.

The textured grip feels good to the hand, again with HK45 markings.

And also the ejection port, the HK markings are impressive.

This part is a little disappointing, there are no white marks on the sights. I would probably paint this one with white dots, heinie style.

Shots of the gun with the suppressor. The overall look is nice.

Walther PPQ 9mm

私たちのブログを訪問していただきありがとうございます。あなたがお持ちの場合DIYの要求は私達に電子メールを送信してください。

In the late 1990s, Walther’s original P99 caused a stir in what was largely, until then, a market that considered “polymer” a synonym for one of Austria’s leading national products. If you mentioned “light,” “hi-cap,” “polymer,” and “striker-fired” all in the same sentence, there just weren’t enough other pistols out there to leave much room for confusion. The situation’s quite different today, but just before the turn of the century Walther drew quite a bit of attention for attaching “plastic” to the venerable company’s name, and kicking poly pistols up a notch…or two.

Colt .44 Magnum Anaconda

私たちのブログを訪問していただきありがとうございます。あなたがお持ちの場合DIYの要求は私達に電子メールを送信してください。

This is the Colt .44 Magnum Anaconda 4 inch version made by Marushin. It is an exact replica of the one used by Clint Eastwood in the movie Dirty Harry as shown in the photo below.

Following are detailed photos of this 8mm airsoft replica, this is the silver version. It is also available in black. It is also available in 8inch version which I will feature next.

The box

Inside the box, the gun is encased in a plastic bag, which I is great considering the flawless finish of the gun. I bet this finish is very susceptible to scratches. It comes with a manual, a small bag of 8 mm bbs and a tool which I haven't discovered what it is for.

The left and right side view of the gun. It looks awesome and the feel of it is great.

The six bullets that came with takes one bb each in its chamber. The back part is open for the gas to go through and push the bb forward. The bullets are heavy, I would almost the same weight as a real one.

Loading the bullets are the same as the real one.

Wooden type design on the grip, it is also where the gas cylinder is located. You can load the gas through the nozzle in the bottom of the grip.

Marking on the left and right side of the barrel is excellent.

Colt logo above the grip, and two more on both sides of the grip.

Rear sight.

Front sight in red which makes it easier to aim downrange.

Taurus 1911ALR .45 ACP

私たちのブログを訪問していただきありがとうございます。あなたがお持ちの場合DIYの要求は私達に電子メールを送信してください。

Equipped with 19 standard features you’d normally expect from a custom shop, but carrying a remarkably low price, the 1911ALR proves to be a lightweight, versatile fighter at a tremendous value.

Getting a grip on the 1911ALR is easy, thanks to 30-lpi checkering on the frontstrap and mainspring housing, and the checkered black grips. The hammer of the 1911ALR features the lockable Taurus Security System, which gives it a thicker profile than a normal hammer.

The Picatinny rail on the Taurus 1911ALR’s frame allows for attachment of a variety of tactical lights and lasers.

Breaking down the 1911ALR for a good cleaning requires use of a barrel bushing wrench (included with the gun) and follows the straightforward procedure for disassembly and cleaning of a 1911.

Kimber Solo Carry

私たちのブログを訪問していただきありがとうございます。あなたがお持ちの場合DIYの要求は私達に電子メールを送信してください。

Micro-compact striker-fired 9mm — the ultimate undercover pocket pistol!

Weighing just 17 ounces and chambered for the 9mm cartridge, Kimber’s Solo is destined to become a favorite of those that trust their lives to their carry guns. Shown are the Solo Carry Stainless and Solo Carry.

There was no elaborate fanfare or warning that something really sensational was about to happen in the gun industry earlier this year. Kimber—a company best known for their extensive line of 1911s—introduced a micro-compact, striker-fired 9mm autoloader that seems perfect for off-duty, undercover or back-up use. Before it was even released, I only heard rumors and had to investigate.

What I read intrigued me. Clearly Kimber had not merely followed the template that other manufacturers use, but rather started with a fresh page and designed a gun that, from top to bottom, is built for deep concealment. Recently, I was given a chance to actually handle one of the brand new Kimber Solo pistols. To say that I was impressed is an understatement. Small, sleek and lightweight, Kimber’s 9mm micro-compact also features great sights, a smooth trigger and ambidextrous manual safeties and magazine releases. In my eyes, it’s everything that a law enforcement back-up handgun should be.

The Kimber Solo’s stainless steel barrel measures 2.7” long and mates directly to the slide of the pistol.

Many will look at the Solo Carry and mistakenly assume that it possesses a double-action-only trigger. I know that I did. But the striker is loaded to nearly 90 percent, and the balance of movement cannot be felt as the trigger is pulled. Therefore, the best description for this action would be “single-action/striker-fired.” The Kimber system also utilizes a firing pin safety that prevents the gun from being fired unless the trigger is fully depressed.

Kimber lightly bevels the mag well of the Solo Carry for fast and sure mag reloads. Note the ambi mag release.

Sig Sauer P226 TAC OPS .40

私たちのブログを訪問していただきありがとうございます。あなたがお持ちの場合DIYの要求は私達に電子メールを送信してください。

Delivering high performance in combat-proven firepower!

The Cam-Clamp mounting system for the Xiphos NT takes some of the pain out of adding a weapon light, allowing the user to add it directly to the spot where it is needed, and fasten it securely without tools.

The handgun serves only one purpose, whether riding in a duty belt or concealed by plainclothes officer or civilian—to be there when needed. Because the handgun is the poorest of firearms when it comes to delivering devastating firepower to an assailant, it is incumbent that it works perfectly every time it is produced. Or, as renowned trainer Clint Smith says, “The handgun is there so you can fight your way to a rifle.”

Any number of manufacturers will be glad to tell you their handgun fits the bill, and, in fact, many of them will be correct. However, one name that always rises to the top is Sig Sauer. My first experience with the pistols of Sig Sauer dates back several decades or more, and involved their P220.

Whether you ride in a patrol unit, work plain clothes, kick in doors, or tromp through some dusty foreign land, the Sig Sauer Tac Ops can get the job done for you.

Some time after that, the Texas Department of Public Safety decided to swap their hallmark S&W .357 Mag revolvers for pistols. When the Texas dust settled, Sig Sauer was riding the hips of DPS commissioned officers, where they still remain (chambered for the .357 Mag equivalent .357 Sig today) and my exposure to these fine Swiss-originated pistols increased.

Polymer Magwell two-piece grips with a highly effective pebbling on the side and rear of the panels (along with checkering on the pistol’s front strap) make the Tac Ops secure in the hand when shooting. Checkering on the Tac Ops frontstrap is sharp enough to provide an extra measure of recoil control. Note the vertical serrations on the Plus Two mag basepads.

The Texas DPS personnel are not alone in choosing Sig Sauer, with estimates running as high as over 30 percent of officers choosing them, including a number of Federal agencies. (Even the Navy SEALs are known to have more than a few around.) Aside from the legendary Swiss clockwork smoothness of the Sig Sauer pistols, the one thing most attributed to the pistols is ruggedness. They certainly meet our earlier qualification that the handgun should “work perfectly every time it is produced.”

Springfield Armory TRP .45 ACP

私たちのブログを訪問していただきありがとうございます。あなたがお持ちの場合DIYの要求は私達に電子メールを送信してください。

Tactical Response Pistol for the battle-ready combat operator!

The Springfield design has been vigorously tested and is absolutely is suitable for any operator looking for a pistol to count on in the street or on the battlefield.

It is not uncommon for specialty units to be issued a 1911 pistol in lieu of the now prolific cookie cutter-type polymer pistols out there. This is true whether the unit is a SWAT team, special forces unit, or any other tactical unit. This occurs often with the clear recognition of the limited capacity as compared to many pistols today. Even though high-capacity versions are out there, the single-stack 1911 is still the favored pistol for most. This pistol chambered in .45 ACP has become the favorite of many without regard to the improvements in other calibers with this design. With the exception of the competitive world, most who use a 1911 for work use it chambered in .45 ACP with six to eight rounds in the magazine. This comes with the recognition that capacity is not always the most important criteria when choosing a combat pistol. This is generally all you need in a fight with a pistol, especially if you are a special operations or tactical unit.

The TRP pistol line is truly a custom-quality pistol at a production pistol price. Many of the attention to detail seen in the Custom Shop Guns are present. The TRP features an excellent set of adjustable rear sights with tritium inserts.

Some would tend to think that anyone on a team like this would want the greatest capacity they can get. That simply is not true — seldom do these units use a pistol as their primary weapon. There may be an instance where that is the case in a police environment but even those are rare. It is even more rare in a military environment. For the most part your pistol is your secondary weapon. What are needed are accuracy, reliability, and stopping power, at least as much as you can get with a pistol. The point at which you go to your secondary weapon it is probably more critical you hit what is trying to kill you than provide “suppressive fire” with your pistol. Even more critical is reliable operation in every possible environment, and from an operator’s perspective that you have complete trust in that pistol’s operation. It is one of the reasons that when the FBI decided to pick a new pistol, reliability was one of the most critical aspects of the test.

The beveled mag well makes reloading with gloves more manageable and aids in reloading in high stress conditions.

When the FBI decided to adopt a new pistol for its SWAT agents, it issued what is called a “performance requirement.” These do not specify manufacturers but simply performance levels. In this test the requirements were as stringent as any you generally see, especially for a government contract. These types of tests bring just about everyone to the table who can make it. Although that initial order was simply for 5,000 pistols, it means that any government agency can order as well.

Super Sentinel: Wilson Combat

私たちのブログを訪問していただきありがとうございます。あなたがお持ちの場合DIYの要求は私達に電子メールを送信してください。

Wilson Combat just released the super-compact 1911-style “Super Sentinel.” They are calling it the most concealable .38 Super automatic pistol on the market today. It’s a highly controllable round, it’s relatively inexpensive and easily available (in non-election years). I’m pretty much a 9mm guy, but the .38 Super is a great defensive round that does address a few of the 9mm’s shortcomings, most notably in energy delivered to the target.

Wilson says “loaded with quality defensive .38 Super ammunition, the Super Sentinel generates .357 magnum-level energy with every shot and exceeds the power of +P+ 9mm rounds with the reliability and match grade accuracy of the .38 Super cartridge. The Super Sentinel retains ballistic superiority over the 9mm Sentinel and launches a typical defensive load like Wilson’s 115 grain TAC-XP load at approximately 1250 fps.”

Predator Tactical Night Shrike .45 ACP

私たちのブログを訪問していただきありがとうございます。あなたがお持ちの場合DIYの要求は私達に電子メールを送信してください。

Custom-built 1911 with enhanced touches and lightning-fast reloads!

The Night Shrike is a 4-inch defense gun with an alloy frame.

Starting a new company to manufacture 1911 pistols makes as much sense to me as starting a new AR-manufacturing company—the market is just too saturated with companies building the same style of guns and chasing the same dollars. Matt Burkett of Predator Tactical has a plan and begs to differ, however.

While many readers will recognize Matt Burkett as a guest instructor on the History Channel’s popular Top Shot show, he’s achieved worldwide success as a pistol and 3-Gun competitor with a list of titles and championships that are only surpassed by the numbers of elite military and law enforcement units that he has trained.

Customers can order customized engraving on the slide flats of their Night Shrike.

“My philosophy is to do things well and do them right, and then back it up with unmatched customer service. After all, it’s my name and reputation on the company. Scot Towner and Lynn Harrison convinced me that we could do something right that no one else has been able to do. Between the two of them, they have 25 to 30 years of experience building 1911s,” said Burkett.

I was at the Tempe, Arizona, manufacturing facility of Predator Tactical, attempting to discover what would set this new brand apart from other 1911 companies. “Look,” said Burkett, “I don’t want to build 10,000 guns a year. I’ll be happy building just 300 to 400 guns and being able to maintain my level of customer service.”

Weighing just 30 ounces, the Night Shrike epitomizes what every carry gun should be

The topic of my meeting this day with Burkett was to discuss Predator Tactical’s newest pistol, the Night Shrike. It’s a 4-inch barreled 1911 pistol built on an alloy frame for weight savings and incorporates the new Predator Tactical magazine well.

The polished stainless steel parts contrast nicely with the matte frame.

It’s a gun that possesses the perfect balance and a feeling of quality. I handled five different Night Shrikes at Predator Tactical and each possessed an amazing degree of fit and finish. The frame-to-slide fit is absolutely impeccable, yet the slide cycled as if it rode on ball bearings. The ambidextrous thumb safeties, beavertail and slide stop were all fit with the same flawless precision.

Predator Tactical’s TacWell doubles the size of the mag well without adding length or girth to the frame.

Predator Tactical serrates the top of the Night Shrike’s slide to reduce glare.

The Night Shrike uses a Wilson Combat bushing-less bull barrel and material is relieved from the inside of the slide for a precision fit. That same fixture is also used to trim the barrel hood.

Checkering is included on the Night Shrike’s frontstrap. Machine cut at 30 lines per inch, I could not find a single flat diamond or overrun on any of the shop guns. Once all of the parts are fit to the frame, the gun is stripped and blasted with Ziconia, a non-embedding ceramic media that doesn’t shatter like glass beads and smoothes the surface of the aluminum without freckling. Customers have a choice of colors for the frame. While I was in the Predator Tactical manufacturing facility, I saw varieties of desert tan, OD green and matte black.

Predator Tactical machine-checkers the Night Shrike’s frontstrap at 30 lines per inch.

Perhaps the most eye-catching feature of the Night Shrike is its new Predator TacWell. PT’s magazine well is cut flush with the frame yet doubles the area of the chute. The patent-pending part requires the frame to be cut on the sides and the part slides on and is anchored with the mainspring housing pin. Once attached, the TacWell becomes part of the gun and is rigid without any play. The mag well opening is deeper in the back and requires a mainspring housing cut specifically for this mag well.

Predator Tactical’s TacWell supplies the shooter with a mag well twice the size of a normal mag well for quick and sure magazine changes, yet the outside diameter of the mag well is not any bigger than standard frame dimensions, making it perfect for serious defense work.

Customers can order their Night Shrike with the newest set of Crimson Trace Masters Series grips.

The polished stainless steel part contrasts nicely with the matte finish there. The ambidextrous thumb safeties and beavertail grip safety are brightly polished stainless steel, too. The fit of the beavertail is impeccable. It moves smoothly and possesses less than a hair’s thickness between frame and beavertail. Lynn Harrison is in charge of cosmetics and fit of these parts. He’s also the man responsible for the super crisp 3-pound trigger pull the Night Shrike possesses.

Predator Tactical outfits the Night Shrike with a full-length recoil spring guide. Its bushingless barrel design makes it easy to disassemble.

Predator Tactical gets their fire control parts (hammer, sear, disconnector) from Extreme Engineering. The wire EDM parts are popular with the competition market but are also perfect for custom defense guns. Harrison says that the parts are so consistent that he can get a perfect trigger pull every time.

PT serrates the top of the slide to reduce glare and the three middle lines are cut a little deeper to accentuate the center of the slide. Customers have their choice of sights. PT uses Tripp, Dawson and Heine rear sights and can outfit the Night Shrike with a tritium, fiber-optic or plain front sight.

The Night Shrike’s light weight and features make it ideal for a custom defense handgun.

Burkett’s thought here is to offer sights that the customer can best utilize. Burkett said, “One older customer bought the Night Shrike from a dealer’s shelf and called and asked if he could make the trigger pull heavier and also wanted a fiber-optic front sight that he could see better. He sent us the gun and we made the changes at no charge. We’re not a rigid assembly line here at Predator Tactical.”

The Night Shrike’s ejection port is lowered and flared, and PT craftsmen break all of the sharp edges—but not so much that the gun doesn’t have a nice sharp, detail-filled appearance. All engraving is CNC machined and customers can have virtually anything engraved on the slide flats.

An alloy frame with a tactical rail is used on the Night Shrike.

The grips are machined from rugged G10 Micarta material and cut to fit the PT TacWell. They have colors to match all of the different frame colors. While I was in the shop, Burkett showed me a new generation of Crimson Trace Master Series grips that had been fit to a Night Shrike. The new grip does not require shortening the weak-side safety.

Performance

Burkett fires and sights in every gun produced in his shop. According to Burkett, “Every gun has a minimum of 100 flawless rounds through it when we ship. I’ll do at least two cycles with every magazine. So, if a customer orders 10 magazines with his gun, I’ll fire a minimum of 160 flawless rounds through it. People rely on our guns for competition and real-world defense and we can’t take a chance that they’re not right. I want them to be able to go shoot a match or start carrying the gun the day they get it with complete confidence that gun will help them win a match or survive a deadly encounter.”

The Night Shrike is available with a choice of front sights. This pistol was outfitted with a fiber-optic front sight.

Burkett emphasizes, “These are all custom guns. You can have them anyway you want them and we can put your name on them. We sometimes try to build forward; in essence, we get the gun to the point where the customer wants to customize it with engraving or sights etc.” So turnaround time for a custom gun, built on the Night Shrike template, is very quick.

Predator Tactical offers the Night Shrike in a myriad of colors.

The Night Shrike comes with a lifetime warranty and the people who buy Predator Tactical guns will shoot them a lot. So if you have a breakage after 100,000 rounds, Burkett will happily replace the part and make it like new.

Predator Tactical’s Night Shrike is expensive at $3,950, but as Burkett notes, “Not everyone can drive a Ferrari, either.”

S&W is announcing a new pistol. Rumors flying around the internet say that it will be called the S&W M&P Shield, will be single stack, chamber 9mm & .40 S&W, and is just a little larger than 9mm sub-compacts like the Ruger LC9
