Before the launch of the BETA PROJECT + PTS Masada ACR GBB, original the ACR Recoil is very unsatisfactory (almost to say no recoil), therefore Angry Gun designed made a kit design, with two upgrade parts to improve the performance of the GBB.

The first reinforced part is the steel bolt carrier that weighs more than 400g. The second ugrade part is the super recoil kit. Both upgrade parts complement each other to give the 'recoilless' ACR close to genuine firearms recoil effect.

The coolest product I saw this year at Shot Show was one that I almost did not see. Its easy to miss things at Shot Show simply because of how many products are being shown, but this product, The Hog Saddle by Shadow Tech LLC caught my eye. As I walked down the line at an invite only shooting event held the day before Shot Show formally opened, it was easy to miss this product, especially given the prototype Barrett M240 (we wrote about it here as the MG240LW) going through belt after belt of 7.62mm a few feet away, but there, off to my right stood a tripod with a GAPrecision rifle atop it. I actually did walk past, but did a double take and stepped back to examine just how this GAP rifle was positioned. What I saw was a product that was elegant in its simplicity, rugged and effective. It was a most beautifully machined vise designed to hold a rifle and called the Hog Saddle. The Hog Saddle is the kind of product that you see and instantly realize the usefulness and application. It’s the kind of product that makes you slap your forehead and say “I should have thought of this”. Its the kind of product that you realize meets a need you never knew you had or if you did realize you did have the need, this product instantly makes your life simpler and better.



The Hog Saddle is in essence, a 16 oz. CNC machined vise for your rifle with an industry standard mount that sits atop a commercial camera tripod. The singular purpose of The Hog Saddle is to provide a stable, solid, universal thread attachment for your rifle on a modular lightweight, adjustable and adaptable mount (tripod). It is crafted out of a single block of aluminum, hard anodized to provide a base for camouflage and is resistant to corrosion. The vise itself been machined to provide a contact patch of urethane pads to protect your rifle, reduce recoil and muzzle rise and preserve accuracy.





Flexibility is important and why the Hog Saddle has neoprene bonded into the CNC machined surface. Obviously, not all rifles have the same dimensions, so the Hog Saddle can adapt to different style rifles and still securely hold them in place. Here is an AR style rifle with a modular rail mounted securely in the Hog Saddle. Other rifles that are currently being used in the field with the Hog Saddle are AR designs including M16, M4, Mk-12 and .308 designs like the SR-25. M14 rifles, M110, Remington 700 designs including the M24 and M40 series as well as Accuracy International and McMillan TAC-50s.

Metal Receiver for Next Generation M4 Recoil Shock Series


A few years back, the airsoft industry was flooded with new innovations from Hongkong, China and Taiwan markets., thereby making the famed Tokyo Marui unpopular. But before the end of 2008, Tokyo Marui announced the first of the Next Generation Shoot and Recoil series, the SOPMOD,
manufactured with full metal body and a chrono of over 90m/s.

Tokyo Marui got the upper hand for and since then, manufacturers started to get into the bandwagon and they came out with their own products. And this next generation series became popularly known as EBBs (electric blowback).

Even with the full metal receivers of Tokyo Marui next generation series, airsoft enthusiast are still wanting for more. Now Echigoya has come with the a new aluminum full metal receiver and stock pipe for the next generation M4 series.

It is carved by a machine (CNC) on a full metal block of aluminum.

A new and improved design recoil unit for the TM M4 Recoil Shock series has been undergoing beta testing for a couple of weeks. Photos below are sneak preview of our tech installing it. This unit is heavier and we recommend that it should only be used for upgraded gearboxes.




This new design is specifically engineered toward keeping the gearbox free from the stress and vibration of the heavier recoil unit. Testing this myself, I was surprised at how heavy the recoil is, your shoulder would sore if you use this for a whole day in the field.
Out test also showed no problem on a standard Tokyo Marui gearbox after repeated full auto firing day in and out. Out surprise came when the magazine catch broke in two, and then the bolt catch paddle broke afterwards.



After repeated testing, I guess the die cast parts of Tokyo Marui can’t take the vibrations and the abuse the heavier recoil unit produces. And again, surprisingly the gearbox showed no sign of breaking, no cracks whatsoever.



When this comes out, again we highly recommend upgrading your internals as well as parts that would not be able to stand the extreme vibrations of this unit, like the magazine catch and bolt catch paddle.

These are the strongest gears available for TM compatible AEGs. All gear components are CNC machined from chromium molybdenum steel rods, except for the bevel/anti-reversal gear component of the bevel gear in generation 1 gear sets, and for bevel gear component in generation 2 gear sets. In generation 1 gear sets, the bevel/anti-reversal gear component is warm compacted from diffusion alloyed steel. In generation 2 gear sets, the anti-reversal gear component has been updated and is CNC machined from chromium molybdenum steel as well. Both hardened materials offer superior toughness and strength compared to that of the other aftermarket gear sets.



ADDITIONAL FEATURES

- Precisely calculated and accurately produced gear teeth involute profiles provide maximum efficiency and durability.
- CNC machined sector gear offers increased durability over traditional sintered sector gears.
- Enlarged sector gear release tooth provides enhanced strength to cope with the accumulated spring load at the end of piston cycles.

There’s a new arrival from China, a copy of the sling attachment for the Recoil and Shoot M4 Next Generation Series. The sling attachment is a close copy of the sling attachment being sold at Echigoya as shown below, which is machined CNC and welded. This sling attachment has been tested to carry more than 25 kilograms of weight, which I am sure would not exceed any AEG out there even with complete attachments from flashlights, lasers and heavy optics.



















We tested the china made sling attachment and it was a big failure. It snapped on a 5 kilogram weight, this is not surprising considering it is made of die-cast zinc. As shown below:

















Using our hands, with only a little bit of pressure we were able to twist it.




As shown above, China made sling attachment on the left and the original Echigoya on the right.

So if you are looking for a sturdy attachment, get the Echigoya original and it will survive a whole day of playing and much much more.
