Echo Niner Camera Strap

私たちのブログを訪問していただきありがとうございます。あなたがお持ちの場合DIYの要求は私達に電子メールを送信してください。

The Echo Niner strap is to a camera what a sling is to a weapon, its an important piece that does more than just support gear, it makes the gear easier to work with. If you think your Sgt. is disgusted if your M4 hits the deck, think about how worked up someone will get when their $2k camera slams to the deck. A lot of people reading this may be using a basic point and shoot camera, and this sling isn’t for them. For the guys/gals using a DSLR, this strap makes perfect sense, especially if they are also firearm shooters.

The Echo Niner strap is made of 1.25″ nylon webbing and uses a rubberized coating to prevent the sling from slipping around. The strap adjusts like a weapon sling, and can be tightened or loosened with a quick pull, which is nice for those times you need to use both hands and don’t need your camera flopping around hitting things. MilSpec 550 cord is used to secure the sling to the camera body through the usual fastening points, which also allows you to swap the sling back and forth between camera bodies, though at the price of $32 for tan and black ($35 for Sexycam/Multicam) it may be worth it just to pick up one for each camera body you are using. The Echo Niner camera strap might not have layers of padding, but for most cameras it is going to work quite well. In fact, its new home is on my Canon 7D, where you can see it below.

Ruger 10/22

私たちのブログを訪問していただきありがとうございます。あなたがお持ちの場合DIYの要求は私達に電子メールを送信してください。

The Ruger 10/22 is the premier semi-automatic, rimfire rifle in the world today. Introduced almost 50 years ago, Ruger has sold millions of the ultra-reliable 10/22 rifles since 1964.

The 10/22 fires the affordable .22 LR cartridge, meaning a shooter can spend hours of great fun at the range without breaking the bank. Ruger’s rotary magazine is extremely reliable, and a 10 round magazine is standard with all new guns. Ruger also makes a five round magazine, and introduced a factory 25 round magazine in May of 2011.

In addition to its rugged reliability, firearm enthusiasts love the 10/22 for its versatility. Ruger makes the rifle in a variety of configurations with synthetic and wood stocks, varying barrel lengths and finishes. In years past, Ruger chambered the 10/22 in both the .22 WMR and .17 HMR cartridges.

The Ruger 10/22 rifle exhibits great handling characteristics, and unlike many .22 LR rifles, it is designed for an adult. This means the gun has excellent fit characteristics for many people. Prior to 1964, many .22 LR rifles were smaller, youth-type guns.

The receiver is precision machined from aluminum alloy, though the now discontinued .22 WMR model used a steel receiver. The 10/22 is a straight blowback design, which has proved to be exceptionally reliable in this rifle.

G&G M.I.T. Unit

私たちのブログを訪問していただきありがとうございます。あなたがお持ちの場合DIYの要求は私達に電子メールを送信してください。

G&G’s most interesting and innovative product at the IWA 2012 probably was their Military Intelligence Tracer Unit, short M.I.T. Unit. This device accommodates several functions, like a tracer unit, a visible laser, a BB counter and a chronometer to calculate the muzzle velocity, into the shape of a silencer. For the last two functions the silencer features a display on its side, which can be switched on or off.

Even more interesting though is a new feature that copies the concept of the MILES (Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System), which is used by the US military for training, and transfers it into the airsoft world. The MILES is basically a laser tag system, where the laser is activated by blanks being fired from the rifle. The M.I.T. Unit now functions very similar: A sensor within the unit detects when a BB is fired and activates a short laser pulse, which would then activate sensors worn by other players when hit. The target sensor could then signal the hit with sound and/or light, but G&G has not decided yet how these would look like, how many they would use or how exactly they will be worn by the players. Here they are looking for the potential customer’s feedback to find the optimal solution.

Anyways, the basic idea is to combine laser tag with airsoft, so that the advantages of both worlds can be utilized. At close distances the game would be the same as usual but beyond the maximal effective range of the BB pellets of roughly 50 m, encounters would still be possible up to around 300 m, thanks to the laser system, while the general airsoft feeling is still sustained.

The M.I.T. Unit itself has a 14 mm counter-clockwise thread and its batteries were said to last up to one week in standby. It will be released this summer around June.

Armalite AR24-15C 9mm

私たちのブログを訪問していただきありがとうございます。あなたがお持ちの場合DIYの要求は私達に電子メールを送信してください。

Tactical Custom steel full-sized pistol for uniformed duty or specialized LE units!

The 9mm AR24-15C offers superb ergonomics, large capacity and excellent sights.

Back when autopistols were emerging on the law enforcement scene, there were two calibers to contend with… the 9mm or .45 ACP. As autopistols plodded and then stampeded into the police market, the 9mm quickly became the caliber in the holsters of cops from coast to coast — largely because of its easy-to-handle recoil for officers of all sizes and shapes, its relatively compact dimensions in a typical pistol platform, and the fact that ammunition could frequently be purchased cheaper in bulk than that of the .45 ACP.

Through most of the 1980s, 9mm ammunition was upgraded in terms of bullet construction to meet the demands of law enforcement needs. Even though later developments in the .40 S&W caliber have overshadowed the 9mm in popularity over the past 20 years and the trend has gone toward lighter polymer-framed pistols, the fact remains that today we have some very effective 9mm loads that get the job done in uniform. And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with going old school and using the caliber in a steel-framed pistol, for either regular uniform wear or more specialized units.

Tactical Custom

Slide lock, thumb safety and mag release are all well placed and configured. Note the extended beavertail.

ArmaLite’s AR24-15C Tactical Custom is one pistol that’s worth a look when the 9mm is under consideration. An all-steel (except for the very ergonomic checkered rubber grips) full-sized pistol, this variation of the classic CZ-75 pattern incorporates elements of earlier pistol designs dating back to the 1930s, but is built on thoroughly modern CNC machinery in an equally modern Turkish plant using forged frames, slides, and barrels. Fundamentally a version of that country’s national service pistol, when ArmaLite was initially setting up the parameters for the AR24 pistol project, certain features and dimensions more adaptable to the American market were laid out—with the end result being nicely done.

Ergonomics on the Tactical Custom model, a step above the regular AR24 pistols, are excellent, and fit my hand better than any other pistol I’ve ever worked with. The non-slip grips are hand-filling, the raised checkering panels front and rear on the frame (an unusual feature in any pistol) add to retention in wet or slippery conditions, and the 34.9-ounce heft of the pistol and its 4.67-inch barrel holds the Tactical Custom rock solid in hand during firing strings. With practice this pistol can be fired accurately at speed, without the greater muzzle flip and longer recovery times inherent in heavier calibers such as the .45 ACP or snappier ones like the .40 S&W.
